I began as an oil painter specializing in cubism and Graphic design. The works of AFP photojournalist, Alex Joe, later inspired me. I started as a staff photojournalist for local daily newspapers in Nairobi, Kenya. I later worked for Central Africa News Agency covering breaking news and feature stories in east and central Africa.
After attending a film and documentary class at the University of Washington I began incorporating my skills into film. I have been the Director of Photography for feature length documentaries and award winning shorts. My work captures visual poetry in each shot.
